Installation Technician / Technical Customer Engineer II (m/f/d)

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Execute installation & commissioning of Powder Coating Systems and Equipment (Powder Booth, filter systems, applicator, pumps and automation)
- Serve as site manager and the Nordson representative during the installation effort.
- Supervise skilled tradesmen to construct and install all Nordson supplied equipment.
- Communicate and resolve issues to ensure successful sign off with customer is reached.
- Provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers. Position requires mechanical, electrical and electronic knowledge and skills to perform necessary service and instruct others on maintaining equipment.
- Perform Customer Trainings, System audits and Maintenance of Nordson equipment.
- Documentation of site reports, check list and measurement protocols.
- Electrician or electrical engineer or equivalent education and work experience ideally in plant engineering
- 3-5 years successful experience in industrial service or equipment installation is required.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting with Siemens controls required.
- Basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
- Strong willingness to travel, each about 7 to 14-day assignments in EMEA (%70 Spain & Portugal)
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Good Spanish and English skills (spoken and written) are required
- Proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience in the finishing industry is preferred. (Powder or Liquid Coating)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel, including intermittent international travel is required.
- Demonstrated ability to learn.
- Self-focused approach and a high degree of flexibility and enjoy working in changing international teams
