Group key figures:1st independent European equity broker.+EUR1.5bn of equities traded on average daily.1st Equity Research coverage in Continental Europe.1st Country Broker and Research (Extel 2024).14 major financial centres in Europe, US and the Middle East.600 employees.1,300 institutional clients YOUR TASKS: During your internship you will notably be in charge of : Key activities: Conduct daily controls, risk analysis in line with the latest risk assessments and controls designed for products within your scope (structured products, equities, ETFs, bonds, derivatives, asset management, PACEO, corporate brokerage);Client credit limits: Conduct credit checks and annually review credit checks for all clients;Create and submit Risk Committees to management.Monitor operational incidents;Provide support to other departments of the company on internal risk-related matters;Risk reporting:Prepare risk assessments for business lines as requested by the risk and compliance manager;Draft monthly risk reports;Process third-party inquiries and propose responses to the risk and compliance manager.YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS: The candidate should meet the following requirements :Required skills:Knowledge of financial products and risk management (operational risk, intermediary risk, market risk, counterparty risk);Proficiency in programming (VBA, Microsoft, Power BI, Sharepoint) - Python/SQL is a plus;Awareness of risk and control issues;Graduate of an engineering/business school or university with a major in risk management in finance;Regular and consistent communication with direct reports on progress;Independent, reliable, highly rigorous;Quick learner with excellent communication skills;Fluent in English, with French as a plus;Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.Key Performance Indicators:Progress on projects assigned by the risk and control Manager;Reliability of reporting and work prepared;Efficiency of communication;Capacity to handle an increasing number of issues independently.RECRUITMENT PROCESS: Between 2 and 3 rounds of interviews: both fit and technical questions.
