The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.
In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' Award from the European Commission. The role
We are searching for a motivated lab technician to join our lab. As their main purpose, they will provide technical support for projects in the host lab that use stem cell-based modelling to understand specific regulatory mechanisms underlying diabetes, as well as defined therapeutic strategies.
About lab
The regulatory genomics and diabetes teams aims to define causes, mechanisms and treatment for diabetes mellitus. The successful applicant will join a team of lab members working on cell-based modelling of genetic mechanisms relevant to diabetes treatment.
Whom would we like to hire?
Must Have

• You have at least two years experience in mammalian cell culture and in the differentiation of human plutipotent cells to beta cells
• A solid track record of working in a cell culture team

Education and training

• A BSc degree in biology or related disciplines is desirable

Languages

• You are fluent in English

Technical skills

• You have skills in molecular biology techniques

Competences

• You are good at working in a team but equally capable of working independently
• Good communication skills

• Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
