Your Role
As the Quality Assurance Software Engineer, you will participate in QA/validation activities for systems developed by Carrier Corp. You will be responsible for ensuring the product quality, tests verification and system-level testing.

Main responsibilities :

• Design of test cases for HVAC system applications and controls
  
• Executing tests while tracking progress, documenting results, and diagnosing issues identified
  
• Defect tracking and reporting
  
• Close collaboration with software design teams in the process of new product development
  
• Defining testing approach based on functional requirements
  
• Developing test procedures for automated and manual tests
  
• Performing manual and automated tests and troubleshooting analysis
  

Who we're looking for
You will succeed in this role if you are a highly motivated, detail-oriented and tech-savvy professional with good communication skills.

As a minimum you'll need to bring the following:

• Bachelor/Master of Science in Electronics, Software Engineering or related field
  
• Previous experience of at least 2 years in a similar position
  
• Knowledge of software testing, design methods and engineering processes, including QA processes and QA methodologies
  
• Considerable background in quality management systems
  
• Good understanding of electronic hardware principles
  
• Knowledge of industry standard protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus
  
• Scripting experience (Python, …)
  
• Sound knowledge of analogue, digital and power electronics, and real-time systems
  
• Fluent Spanish and good command of English (spoken and written)
  
• Valid EU work permit
  

Required soft skills.

• Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  
• Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize key deliverables
  
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  

Although not necessary, any of the following will be considered an advantage

• Knowledge of Azure Develops or IBM Jazz or equivalent controls qualification tools
  
• General knowledge of HVAC system instruments and controls
  
• Good understanding of air conditioning and refrigeration
