YOUR TASKS & RESPONSABILITIES

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our accounting and controlling processes. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with global, country and regional stakeholders to provide accurate cost allocation and insights, drive change, and ensure the financial integrity of production processes.

• Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations across multiple jurisdictions for the country/ cluster in charge

• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, focusing on production in close collaboration with local plant controllers

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes related to cost and production accounting by pro-actively following up and resolving of topics

• Be an active member of the Finance communities and organizations in the Bayer Group and key contact for different Controlling areas for accounting topics with P&L impact

• A working knowledge of European accounting standards is a plus.

WHO YOU ARE

To succeed in this role, we expect you to bring:

• A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.

• Proven track of professional experience in Accounting, Product Costing, Financial Analysis, or similar fields.

• Proficiency in SAP FI/CO modules, with a solid understanding of interfaces with other modules.

• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and fluency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of an additional European language is a plus.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Regional Finance Hub, Local Accounting team, or similar.

• The ability to understand and support the diverse business models of different companies, including their processes, risks, and organizational structures.

• A high degree of adaptability to changing environments and different business models.

• Proven ability to build trustful relationships with key stakeholders and act as a content owner, making impactful decisions.
