Your mission
As a System Administrator IT at Operations Solutions, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of essential IT tools and applications. Your team manages tools like PTC Creo, Auto CAD, and Ansys, working closely with teams handling the Product Lifecycle Management tool Teamcenter. These tools are used daily by our end-users at Epiroc.
In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative CAD and Simulation team, working on preventive maintenance and contributing to continuous process improvements. You will listen carefully to business needs and support the quality enhancement of our systems.
Your responsibilities will include configuring CAD and Simulation software, ensuring seamless integration, managing response times, and resolving incidents or issues that arise. You will work closely with the team’s Product Owner to understand the needs of end users, translating them into actionable requirements for license management and software usage within the team’s portfolio. Close cooperation with other teams in the Operations Solutions department will be essential, as will your communication with end users to understand and meet their needs.
Together with the IT organization, you will help manage server environments, maintain network security, and oversee data storage systems. You will assist in the installation, configuration, and updating of hardware and software, while offering thoughtful troubleshooting when technical issues occur. As part of the team, you’ll support the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures, with a focus on optimizing system performance and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. It will also be key to document IT processes and systems clearly and thoroughly. This role calls for an understanding of various operating systems, databases, and cloud services.
Your profile
To thrive in this role, you bring a solid knowledge of IT systems as they relate to the tasks mentioned above. You have experience with CAD and Simulation applications and servers.
A degree in Information Systems, Network Systems, Computer Science, or similar relevant experience is preferred.
You are accustomed to working in environments where end users rely on your guidance and are comfortable with troubleshooting and system maintenance.
As a person, you are service-oriented and focused on delivering high-quality results by proactively identifying areas of improvement, reporting any issues, and contributing to the ongoing development of our products. You are a strong communicator and view collaboration as one of the most rewarding aspects of your work. Your problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail are crucial in this role. Strategic thinking and documentation skills are also key attributes.
Since our teams are international, fluency in both spoken and written English is essential. Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage, but not required.
