Chief Product Owner for Financial Crime Prevention Tribe to SEB \u007C Solna, Sweden

The Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) unit is accelerating the deployment of advanced financial crime prevention capabilities to meet regulatory expectations continuously and to become a leader in fighting financial crime.

Today, FCP has two tribes that together are part of the FCP Domain, where 12 agile teams work together towards common and aligned goals in the FCP area. The Tribes are responsible for ensuring effective processes and tools to predict, prevent, detect, act and report on potential financial crime, internally and to relevant authorities, in the areas of AML transaction monitoring, sanction and PEP screening, market surveillance, rogue trading, fraud prevention, customer risk score, complex investigations, data management etc.
We are now looking for a Chief Product Owner (CPO) to one of our two Financial Crime Prevention Tribes.

About the job
As the CPO, you will play a key role in leading one of the FCP Tribes. You will ensure alignment of the tribe’s vision and purpose with its members and stakeholders, while also taking ownership of the backlog and roadmap. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, driving innovation, and ensuring that SEB stays at the forefront of financial crime prevention.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Owning and managing the tribe’s backlog to deliver value by protecting SEB and its customers from financial crime,
  • Coordinating the tribe’s roadmap in collaboration with product owners, business owners, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with FCP needs, market changes, and regulatory guidelines,
  • Balancing the backlog with a focus on risk coverage, innovation, productivity, and future-proofing the FCP capabilities,
  • Acting as a mentor and coordinator for the product owners of the agile teams, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration across teams,
  • Working closely with the Chief Scrum Master to ensure continuous learning and cross-team collaboration,
  • Promoting simplified governance and efficient ways of working within the tribe and with other relevant stakeholders.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a strong background in Financial Crime Prevention and agile leadership. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, driving change and empowering teams to excel.

Your bring:
  • Extensive knowledge of Financial Crime Prevention, example from transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, fraud prevention, or market surveillance
  • Several years of experience with lean/agile principles, ideally in roles such as Chief Product Owner or Chief Scrum Master
  • A deep understanding of how to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements in an agile way of working
  • Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong networking skills with both internal and external stakeholders
