We are launching an exciting Dev Ops initiative that aims to overhaul the way we deliver solutions, using As-a-Service on public Hyper Cloud Providers (HCP) as our vehicle. Our goal is twofold: To thrill our customers by delivering services they love and giving them a competitive edge, while building a “lean and mean” product development organization which will allow Ericsson to scale at profit.

What you will do:
- Lead as an individual contributor and project manage additional team members to complete the end-to-end response to RFPs for 5G Core Networks from Ericsson, offered in a Saa S manner and hosted in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and tailor responses to meet specific needs.
- Spreading the knowledge of Sapper’s solution knowledge and differences between Saa S and Product, supporting the CU’s to help their customers who are simply exploring
- Provide technical leadership in the development of solution proposals and presentations to prospective clients. Thought should be given early on to make this process repeatable, predictable and remove as much toil as possible.
- Explore new functionalities to help solve customer requirements, then provide technical suggestions while influencing the development of solution proposals to the product owners internally to Sapper
- Train and mentor junior engineers on best practices for responding to RFPs and effectively communicating technical concepts to customers.
- Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of GCP to assist customers in setting up and configuring 5G Core Networks for commercial or trial systems, integrating with downstream 5G radios, and upstream customer and billing systems
- Explore how AI can enhance our processes to reduce toil, increase speed and enhance the quality of our solution
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a pre-sales engineering role with a focus on 5G Core Networks, preferably with Ericsson solutions.
- In-depth understanding of Saa S delivery models and experience in responding to RFPs for Saa S-based solutions.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including setting up and configuring infrastructure and services.
- Experience as a E2E solution architect or similar role delivering customer 5G architecture, and integration of these core networks with other systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Leadership skills with the ability to lead a team, including mentoring junior engineers
- Experience in developing AI solutions
- Experience with Ericsson’s 5G Core Network solutions and products
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in a Public Cloud Platform such as Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services at the architect level
- Experience in implementing and integrating 5G Core Networks in cloud environments
- Ericsson EPC Expert Certification
This role requires a candidate with a strong technical background, pre-sales and delivery expertise, and the ability to lead and mentor others, particularly in the context of 5G Core Networks offered as a Service (Saa S) in a cloud environment.
