Enterprise Data & Technology Architect

At Ikano Bank we're amidst an exciting digital transformation, with an increasing number of individuals actively engaged in data and analytics initiatives across the organization. As an Enterprise Data & Technology Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in defining and maintaining the target data architecture and technology landscape within the Data & Analytics domain. Our goal is to advance our Enterprise Data Platform on AWS and other platforms, enhancing their capabilities to drive innovation and growth. You will set the conceptual roadmap for how to move from the current state to the target and support and guide the initiatives required for the transition. You will do this in close collaboration with architects for other domains, the data governance function, delivery teams and business representatives. You will have an active role in various decision forums, represent us to external partners (for example vendors and AWS) and create a great foundation for further development.
To excel in this role, a strong business acumen is essential, coupled with a deep understanding of our banking operations. You must possess the capability to translate business requirements seamlessly into innovative technology solutions. Effective presentation and communication skills within the Data & Analytics domain are paramount for success. Moreover, the ability to articulate business needs to solution architects, developers, and other technical personnel is crucial.
Additionally, it's imperative to maintain a forward-thinking approach, keeping an eye on emerging technologies and assessing their potential relevance to our operations. As Data & Analytics continues to evolve rapidly, you'll play a pivotal role in prioritizing initiatives and making strategic decisions that align with both business imperatives and technological capabilities, ensuring that our technological roadmap delivers substantial value to the Bank. You'll primarily engage in strategic and tactical tasks, but maintaining curiosity about and understanding operational dynamics is ingrained in our company culture and critical for your success.

You will report to the Manager Domain Architecture and be part of the leadership team of the Data & Analytics organization, consisting of the Global Head of Data & Analytics, the Head of Data Delivery, the Data Governance Lead and the Head of Analytics. Together we will drive the data agenda in the bank, enabling Data & Analytics to be at the very core of how Ikano Bank operates, by enabling Ikano Bank to make data-driven, better and faster decisions at a lower cost.
The position is located in Malmö, Sweden.
Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Set and communicate the data architecture and data technology architecture standards and guidelines
• Utilize a reference data architecture to describe and communicate current state of data architecture
• Keep an up-to-date view on the technology architecture for the Data & Analytics domain (integration, warehouses, lakes, analytical tools, etc.)
• Define and maintain the target data architecture and the corresponding target technology architecture, document gaps and create conceptual, value driven, roadmap to close the gaps
• Facilitate the selection of tools and packages for all components in the Data & Analytics landscape
• Provide support to solution architects in the implementation of initiatives along the roadmap
• Represent the data & analytics domain in architecture boards and assess impact of initiatives in other domains on Data & Analytics
• Ensure that the architecture for new initiatives are aligned with the Enterprise Architectural roadmap and overall Ikano guidelines and target architecture

We are looking for senior architect with wide experience, who has a strong understanding of solutions innovation. The ideal candidate has several years of experience working as a solution architect. You have an ability to dive into various solutions while developing new solutions/services and make strong contributions in architectural discussions. You should have passion for innovation; motivated by always looking for new technology trends, particularly in the data & analytics area. To be successful you must me highly collaborative and inspirational in how you coach other architects and senior development members with solution design.
Your adeptness at discerning patterns within complex issues, coupled with your common sense, positions you as the go-to individual for providing invaluable sanity checks in the realm of Data & Analytics.
We believe that we are looking for someone with the following background:

• Take ownership and take pride in understanding your stakeholders and the business you support
• Possess strong communication skills and can have discussions on different levels, ranging from developer to C-level
• Are structured and analytical and can conceptualize complex architectural issues.
• Have a minimum 5 years of experience in working with data / data technology architecture in an enterprise context
• Have experience in working with both Data (big data, DWH, data management, etc) and Analytics (BI, predictive, advanced)
• Several years of successful professional experience in Architecture design and implementation of platforms
• Banking understanding is a must
• Knowledge in BIAN model
• Core Banking platform (e.g. Cards, Loans and deposits) and Origination systems is an added advantage
• Knowledge on Monitoring, Vulnerability Scanning, and Patch Management & Deployment (added advantage)
• Ability to synthesize and clarify status through written or verbal communications. Both upwards and downwards in the programs, business analysts, program management and senior executives
• Can demonstrate knowledge about cloud trend in Data & Analytics (AWS is preferred)
• Knowledge and understanding of SW project/product execution and the external environment, 3rd party deliverables
• Fluent in English – spoken and written
• Ability to work in a team and within Ikano’s values
