Fleet Management & Fleet Finance is a function within our airline organisation responsible for ensuring that, across the TUI AOCs, we have the right aircraft accessible at the best possible economics, in order to meet operational needs and give the best experience to our customers. Fleet Management & Fleet Finance operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.
As Finance Analyst – Controlling & Commercial, your focus will be to provide financial support to the Fleet & Capacity Management team who are responsible for the procurement and financing of aircraft for the TUI Group. This is a high profile area of the Group which encompasses c. €2.5billion of debt and an annual cost base of c. €500m. Key activities include financial modelling to support aircraft financing decisions, and long term strategic fleet planning.
In this role, you’ll report to the Head of Financial Planning – Fleet Finance & Fleet Management, with a dotted line through to the Commercial Analysis Manager.
ABOUT THE JOB
As Finance Analyst – Controlling & Commercial, you’ll be responsible for:
- Utilise and develop robust financial models to analyse opportunities and enhance aircraft financing decision making
- Provide financial analysis support to Fleet & Capacity Management, liaising with other Airline functions where appropriate
- Produce financial analysis for inclusion in business cases for the board approval
- Support the aircraft delivery process including aircraft pricing review, funds flow and tracking
- Ownership of cash maintenance reserves, ensuring payments, forecasting and recovery of funds are optimised
- Support on pan-aviation topics, ensuring alignment and common understanding
- Produce quarterly reports to support multiple areas of the TUI Group
- Support the Controlling activities of the aviation asset holding companies including Actuals and Forecast reporting
- Ad-hoc analysis and project work as required
- Collaboration and support other TUI Airline functions and TUI Group finance functions
ABOUT YOU
- Finance background with previous experience working in finance or controlling or proven experience in maintaining and analysing complex financial information
- Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of metrics and ratios
- Ability and motivation to understand and work with complex topics
- Highly motivated self-starter who enjoys taking full ownership of their area of responsibility
- Diligent and with confidence in their own work
- Be able to work autonomously, with the ability to use own initiative to solve problems
- Ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships across TUI Airline Finance and TUI Group Finance functions
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
