The role
Do you want to lead the legal efforts of a global tech company? We’re looking for a versatile and commercially minded Legal Counsel with the ability to be the go-to person for legal questions within the company. We are on a global journey and seek someone with an international mindset who can help us grow in a structured and compliant fashion.
The challenge

• Lead legal operations across Europe and the US, setting a structure to scale compliantly in a complex global environment;

• Be the go-to legal counsel for the organization and support the team in everything legal, such as commercial agreements (particularly focused around IP), global employment regulations, data privacy, and corporate and statutory matters;

• Ensure we have the right legal frameworks in place to serve clients efficiently on a global basis;

• Define and coordinate an efficient setup of legal partners;

• Own our contract management platform (Pandadoc) and ensure a compliant setup with a smooth and efficient client experience;

• Support in (many) other ad-hoc projects.

Your profile

• A Master of Laws (LL.M.) from a top university;

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience, including working at a top tier law firm with substantial international exposure;

• Experience in independently drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, particularly based on US and EU law, and with complex IP questions;

• Ability to be detail-oriented and make pragmatic decisions in stressful and high-pressure situations;

• Fluent in English, speaking and writing;

• Strong self-drive, but also a team player and collaborator across the organization;

• A highly flexible mindset and ability to learn on the go;

Meritorious:

• Experience from working as an in-house legal counsel, preferably within a global B2B tech context;

• Experience working with global employment matters;

• Experience in data privacy, intellectual property, or litigation.
