Are you an experienced engineer passionate about Project Management and Product development,? Do you want a role where you can make a difference? Air Tech RD EMEA is looking for a candidate to be our Manager of Project Management Office (PMO)

Summary

In this role as Manager, you will be part of Air T R&D EMEA Management Group, based in Kista, Sweden. You will lead and develop the Project Management Office which consists of around 10 Project Leaders and Process, Systems and Tools Engineers located in three regions: Europe, Americas and Asia.

In your role, you will have a strong collaboration with Product Management organization, as well as the rest of the RD team, regionally and globally. You will also collaborate with both external and internal parties both in EMEA and internationally, and have the opportunity to build a large network of contacts

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to project managers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
Strategic planning of product development programs and projects in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring they align with the product roadmaps and company strategy. This includes establishing clear guidelines for the definition, planning, execution, and closure of projects.
Oversee the portfolio of product development programs and projects, ensuring that objectives are met on time and within budget.
Establish a robust project portfolio reporting system to provide transparency and insights into the status, risks, and performance metrics of all projects. This will involve the creation of standardized reports to keep stakeholders informed and facilitate decision-making at the executive level.
Develop and implement PMO policies, processes, and performance metrics to ensure program and project alignment with company strategies and goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and ensure stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive the adoption of best practices in project management and lead change management initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Besides the specific responsibilities of your position, as manager, your responsibilities will also include the following:

Planning and prioritizing activities, initiatives and resources
Budget responsibilities

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has an engineering education and 5+ years with:

Proven experience in PMO leadership within a product development environment, preferably in the industrial manufacturing sector.
Strong people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team of project leaders.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities, with a track record of managing complex projects successfully
