Nordic Head of UW Marine

Zurich is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life insurance for local and international business in the Nordic market. We are now looking for a customer centric and agile person to take on the position as Head of UW Marine.

Nordic Head of UW Marine

As Nordic Head of UW Marine you have P&L responsibility for our Marine underwriting operations in the Nordics, including personnel responsibility for the Marine underwriters, providing quality leadership with focus on visible leadership. You are accountable for the strategy for the Marine portfolio in collaboration with Nordic Branch Managers and Chief Underwriting Officer. You will also focus on expanding the business, represent and promote Zurich Marine in the Nordic countries and being the main point of contact for Marine Underwriting in the Nordic region.

You will report to the Nordic Chief Underwriting Officer.

Qualifications

Vast experience in underwriting, along with extensive experience in handling Marine business within the Corporate/Commercial segments.
Very strong understanding of how to successfully manage a portfolio
A proven track record of successfully dealing with a variety of customer types and propositions, and interacting with brokers / customers
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
University degree in (Maritime) Law or Business, or equivalent experience

Innovative with the ability to contribute to the development of new products and propositions
Excellent presentation and communication skills
