The role

As a senior frontend engineer in the Growth team, you’ll be working on a wide range of user-centric projects together with other engineers, product owners, UI/UX designers, marketing specialists, researchers, and analysts.
The Growth team at Soundtrack is an autonomous and cross-disciplinary team, responsible for attracting new customers and onboarding them. Our main goal is to help as many new users as possible to start using and enjoying our service. This means we’re responsible for our website, signup, and onboarding experience, spanning across our storefront and apps (web, mobile, and desktop).

Your primary focus will be to work on new features and continuous improvements for our storefront and apps built on Next.js / React (written in Type Script). We are a data-driven team and will continuously iterate based on insights, A/B testing and qualitative user feedback. Ideas can come from anyone, data is the final judge.

Responsibilities

• Building, releasing and continuously improving existing features together with UI/UX designers, researchers and analysts.
• Developing and maintaining consistent and reusable UI components/libraries used by multiple teams
• Contribute to the team’s vision, strategy and agenda
• Helping the team grow as a whole by sharing knowledge and lifting each other up

Mandatory requirements

• Well-versed in web development
• Strong proficiency in CSS
• Strong proficiency in Type Script/Java Script
• Worked with a JS framework such as Next.js, React, Angular or Vue.js
• Experienced with Git or another distributed source management system

Advantageous experience (not required)

• General interest in music and/or music technology
• Experience working with design systems and/or larger CSS codebases
• Experience working with experimentation
• i OS, Android and/or Electron app development
  
• Graph QL APIs and libraries (we use Apollo)
• Automated testing (especially front-end)
• Basic knowledge of functional programming
• Front-end development/build pipelines using Webpack/Rollup or similar
