QIAGEN DNA Synthesis AB in Sweden, has produced high quality synthetic DNA for diagnostic purposes for more than 30 years. We are situated in Västerås and have around 100 employees. We apply the medical device directives, ISO13485 (EU) and 21CFR820 (USA) and our production is carried out in accordance with GMP.

Position Description
As a Technology Engineer you will be a member of the manufacturing management team consisting of seven people. The role reports directly to the Production Manager. Maintenance and technical support are integrated in the manufacturing department consisting of altogether about 60 highly dedicated people.
Key responsibilities:
- Asset management
- Process ownership for the operation and maintenance of facility and technical equipment
- Planning and supporting the service and maintenance such as ventilation system, production laboratory instruments and equipment, nitrogen gas and process water unit
- A single point of contact with service and maintenance suppliers
- Contracting the maintenance with external suppliers
- Standby service along with 4-5 other members (approx one week out of 5)
Position Requirements
-
At least three years’ academic technical education.
- At least three years’ experience of asset management and maintenance.
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and with quality systems e.g. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Good computer skills and management of production control systems. Driving license.
- An ability to combine operational day-to-day tasks with a strategic long-term view of the area of responsibility. Structured, results and goal orientated with a good sense of order, planning and prioritisation.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Fluent Swedish and English essential.
