Assistant Bartender on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express Season 2025

As an Assistant Bartender at The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond Train, you will support a world-class bartending team dedicated to delivering an unparalleled guest experience. In this role, you'll assist in the preparation of bespoke cocktails, working with premium spirits, fresh ingredients, and innovative recipes. Your attention to detail and passion for service will help create a welcoming atmosphere, as you interact with guests, learn their preferences, and assist in crafting drinks that complement their individual tastes. Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist in preparing and serving a variety of high-quality cocktails and beverages, following the lead of the Head Bartender.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, understanding their preferences, and offering recommendations.
  • Ensure the bar area is well-stocked, clean, and organized, maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation at all times.
  • Contribute to creating a warm and luxurious atmosphere that enhances the guest experience aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.
Requirements
  • First experience in Hospitality at luxury level
  • Experience in dealing with international customers
  • Ability to engage with guests, understand their preferences, make recommendations, and provide a positive experience
  • Restaurant experience of advantage
  • Team player
  • Travelling extensively across Europe
  • European or Swiss passport
  • Fluency in English and Italian, a basic comprehension French of a plus
