Corporate Lawyer- Swiss Law

A prominent crypto-native organization, focused on investments and innovative software development in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, is looking for an experienced Swiss lawyer to join their legal team. This is an exciting chance to work with a dynamic team that operates at the forefront of legal compliance, regulations, and cutting-edge technology within the crypto sector.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will take on a key role in supporting the company's legal department, overseeing corporate, regulatory, and contractual matters. The role also includes leading the process for obtaining a FINMA asset management license, and managing all compliance processes to ensure full alignment with Swiss regulations. This position is ideal for someone with a background in compliance and Swiss law, who thrives in a fast-paced environment while ensuring adherence to legal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal expertise on compliance, corporate governance, and contract negotiations.
- Lead efforts to secure an asset management license from FINMA.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements and documents.
- Develop and implement internal regulatory and compliance strategies.
- Supervise and streamline compliance processes to meet Swiss regulatory standards.
- Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with Swiss laws and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve legal issues and provide strategic advice.
- Ensure compliance with investment restrictions and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide training and guidance on regulatory compliance to internal teams.
- Proactively identify and report potential compliance issues, collaborating with teams to address them.
- Master's degree in Swiss law and admission to the Swiss Bar.
- Proven experience in corporate law and compliance, with a solid understanding of Swiss regulations.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of legal processes.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering results.
- Previous legal experience within the cryptocurrency industry.
- In-depth knowledge of evolving crypto regulations and their impact on financial markets.
