Design Engineer - Actuation Systems for Automotive

Your responsibilities will be to:
-
Design, development and modifications of actuator components on new products
-
Turn research ideas into technical plans using CAD software
-
3D design studies to perform followed by 2D drawings and supplier involvement
-
Interacting with customers, including face to face meetings (globally)
-
Visualization and presentation
-
Writing or presenting regular progress reports for project managers and customers
-
Product care, continuous improvement and engineering support in case of quality issues
-
Compliance Matrix Reviews
-
Environmental assessment: considering the environmental impact of new products and their manufacturing processes and how they would be safely disposed
-
Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering
-
1-3 years of relevant experience but fresh graduates are also welcome
-
In depth knowledge of CAD software (Unigraphics NX)
-
Understanding of design and engineering procedures; technical know-how of modern manufacturing technology in plastic and metal processing
-
Independence and systematic working, ability to adjust to requirements
-
Teamwork and proficiency; initiative and diligence
-
Selling skills for presenting new ideas to customers
-
Ability to maintain good customer / supplier relationship by representing engineering
-
Fluent English is mandatory and additional fluent French or German would be advantageous
-
Willingness to travel globally to customers and suppliers (~20%)
-
