As the Director, Logistics & Distribution Product Line Leader, you will play a pivotal role within the Global Logistics organization. You will be responsible for driving innovation and operational excellence across key logistics and distribution initiatives. This includes the integration of third-party logistics (3PL), enhancing visibility through a Control Tower, improving trade compliance systems, and utilizing Internet of Things (Io T) technologies. You will lead strategic projects to optimize global logistics processes and ensure that they are agile, compliant, and aligned with Moderna’s Global Supply Chain Strategy.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will be:
Serve as an integral part of the Global Logistics team within the Supply Chain Excellence community, aligning logistics initiatives with digital transformation efforts and strategic objectives.
Build the capability to assess the end-to-end financial impact of logistics systems and processes, demonstrating how strategies drive improvements to the company’s P&L and Return on Capital Employed (ROCE).
Lead system integration efforts for 3PL providers, ensuring seamless alignment with global logistics platforms.
Implement visibility solutions, including a centralized Control Tower for enhanced real-time data and decision support across the logistics network.
Strengthen trade compliance through advanced tools and systems that seamlessly integrate regulatory requirements into logistics workflows.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Utilize Io T technology to improve logistics processes by enhancing shipment tracking, data collection, and lane validation mechanisms.
Optimize route efficiency through system-based lane validation processes and software-driven analysis for secure and cost-effective transport.
Oversee the automation of logistics processes, deploying touchless systems to reduce manual interventions and enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system and software integration supports broader logistics and distribution initiatives.
Develop and monitor system performance metrics using software analytics to continuously improve logistics processes.
Lead the creation of a global community of practice, driving standardization and system alignment across logistics platforms.

Here’s What You’ll Need ( Basic Qualifications)
A BS in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related technical field; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
At least 12 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Digital, with a focus on process and system management
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with global 3PL integrations, transport management systems, logistics visibility platforms, and trade compliance systems.
Knowledge of advanced technologies like Io T for logistics optimization.
Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale change initiatives within logistics and distribution environments.
Demonstrated success in working with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with global distribution regulations.
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a strategic approach to overcoming logistical challenges.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
