How much energy will my solar power plant generate this week? Is this flight path safe and efficient? Will there be enough rain to water my crops? As the weather affects many industries' performance, businesses keep a close eye on what's happening in the skies.
At Meteomatics, we're a team of proud nerds who deliver the most accurate weather data to over 600 companies and research institutions worldwide, helping them accelerate the energy transition, reduce the business’ impact on the environment, and make products and services safer for society.
We are looking for a Software Engineer that makes our drones fly!

What you'll do

• Work in an interdisciplinary team with agile methodology
• Implement and care for the code that makes our drones fly
• Maintain our simulation framework and perform flight simulations of our Meteodrone
• Improve our pipelines and build processes
• Dev Ops assistance and debugging; flight data analysis
• Perform flight tests on real hardware

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Solid programming knowhow in C++ (embedded systems)
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Git Lab
• A strong quality mindset
• Preferably experience with drone / robotics programming (Aducopter, Simulation-in-the-loop)
• Additional skills in Python or Bash will be a plus
• You’re fluent in English. It's a plus if you speak German (or Swiss German )
• You show initiative and strong communication skills - not only to solve your coding task, but to reach the next level!
