Position Summary

The Nestlé System Technology Centre (NSTC) in Orbe is Nestlé’s leading R&D centre for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé delivery systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging and products for in-home and out-of-home.

As an Electronics Design Intern, you will support the development of electronics and software of new & existing in-home and out-of-home coffee machines and water dispenser, participate in design reviews of future electronics, and apply theoretical knowledge to test prototype performance.

A Day in the Life of an Electronics Platform Design Intern

Design and execute basic tests of full electronics (Hardware and Software)
Analyze, modify, improve electronics schematic in close collaboration with other electronic specialists
Extract information and workings of components from manufacturer’s website and datasheets
Connect and collaborate with specialists/experts from the Machine Department team and from Nestlé preferred electronics partners
Demonstrate proof of concepts (feasibility and viability) of new Hardware solutions

What will make you successful

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Micro-Engineering, or similar
Good ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Basic knowledge of Altium designer
Experience on Hardware and Software development
Knowledge on embedded Software development for microcontrollers, C and C++ (Arduino, STM32)
Strong communication skills
Fluent in English
