Job Description
Job Responsibilities As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financial records, as well as providing accurate and timely reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the general ledger, ensuring proper and timely month-end and year-end closing
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining supporting documentation
• Handling intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Monitoring and ensuring accuracy in accruals, prepayments, and provisions
• Supporting internal and external audits, providing necessary financial documentation
• Participating in process improvements and system enhancements to streamline accounting operations
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data

The Successful Applicant
The Successful Candidate To succeed in this role, you should bring:

• Proven experience in general ledger accounting, ideally in an international setting
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (such as IFRS or GAAP)
• Proficiency with accounting systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
