About the role:
As the Global Product Sustainability and Stewardship Lead, you will maintain knowledge of global chemical/material and extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulatory and disclosure requirements. You will use data and digital tools to evaluate impacts of chemical/material regulatory changes for Takeda products and help implement global/chemical/material regulatory compliance strategies. You will report to the Global Head Product Sustainability and Stewardship.

How you will contribute:

• Help develop product sustainability data management related to tender requirements and EU Taxonomy.
  
• Track and analyze product environmental metrics and parameters
  
• Coordinate with several departments to ensure product environmental sustainability data and chemical/material compliance data are available through internal repository.
  
• Partner with our teams to collect data and communicate information.
  
• Participate in stakeholder meetings as a representative of the global product stewardship team.
  
• Be responsible for execution of procedures and processes for product regulatory compliance, disclosure and EPR requirements.
  
• Support regulatory compliance programs such as Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labelling. Other programs include REACH, TSCA, California Prop 65, Conflict Minerals.
  
• Track of global chemical/material/product regulations along with developing applicability analysis based on the country specific requirements for our raw materials, intermediates and pharmaceutical products (focusing on EU)
  
• Use communication tools to provide support for implementation of such requirements to cross functional teams.
  
• Manage and execute the process for sustainability data collection and communication though Takeda digital tools.
  
• Support the team in coordinating implementation of product sustainability and stewardship processes within the EHS group and coordinate with other functional groups on integrating the business requirements.
  
• Support the development and update of Microsoft Share Point site or similar platforms in implementing training, communication tools, procedures and processes to communicate with cross functional groups and internal EHS group.
  
• Support the group’s KPIs and metrics related to product stewardship along with providing progress on projects and tasks.
  
• Develop subject matter content for presentations, webinars and other forums for communication as applicable.
  
• Support environmental performance reporting for internal & external communications.
  

What you bring to Takeda:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or other engineering or science-related degrees. An MS degree in a related field is a plus.
  
• At least 7 years of experience in compliance programs for Ro HS, WEEE, Packaging, REACH, GHS and Conflict Minerals or other product environmental regulations.
  
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry, corporate or consulting experience in this field
  
• Familiarity with environmental sustainability metrics and chemical compliance.
  
• Some experience in sustainability, regulatory affairs, or a related area would be ideal
  
• Maintain updated knowledge of material/product regulatory compliance, product disclosure (eg. Tenders, EU taxonomy) and extended producer responsibility requirements.
  
• Can provide training support and has a team-oriented mindset.
  
• Experience with Excel and Power Point and other data and project management applications.
