Our Diagnostic Direct Procurement (DOP) department is responsible for strategic supplier management and strategic procurement activities for finished goods and raw materials, to make sure that our in vitro diagnostics solutions are built with highest quality standards. Our vision is to be procurement entrepreneurs, with an ability to design and orchestrate an innovative, agile and sustainable supplier network. We are a global organization with colleagues based in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the US, China and South Africa.

This Internship position belongs to the Category Team, specifically for CAPEX/Eng Services/IT category. Category Management teams provide in-depth knowledge of supply markets, its players and their capabilities. Based on these insights, long-term category strategies are developed in alignment with the Business and/or functional strategy for sustained value creation.

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the creation and implementation of Category Strategies
  
• Translate the category strategy into concrete ideas feeding project pipeline
  
• Supporting with data analytics, market intelligence dashboards as fundamental part of the Category Strategy framework and development
  
• Supporting Supplier Negotiations and Business Review Meetings
  
• Supporting the team on activities associated to fulfill our annual targets
  

Who You Are
You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s studies, or completed your bachelor’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of Business Administration or Engineering after February 2024 and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.

Furthermore you are

• You are a fast learner who is proactive and dynamic, with good communication skills
  
• You are willing to step out of your comfort zone and work independently, but are also not shy to ask for help
  
• You are confident working with numbers and analyzing data
  
• High knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Power Point, while also being familiar with both Google Slides and Google Sheets.
  
• You are proficient in English and not afraid of talking to international colleagues in person, via phone, video conference or email. German is appreciated but not required
  

Technical details:

The start date for the internship is March 2025 with a duration of 12 months.

Part-time employment is not possible.
It is not possible to write a thesis during the internship.

The application deadline is November 11th. Interviews will take place in late November and early December.
