The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

As a L&D Manager you will be reporting to the Head of Talent Management, the L&D Manager is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of corporate learning initiatives. This includes contributing to the creation and implementation of training programs, co-designing e-learning courses, organizing workshops, and contributing to learning paths that help employees grow and develop within the organization.

Main responsibilities
Learning & Development
  • Working with the Head of Talent Management (HTM), identify or develop company-wide or individual learning initiatives that cost effectively focus employee development toward achievement of both business and personal career goals.
  • Support in the design, develop, and implement development solutions, in person and virtual ones that support business needs.
  • Analyse training needs to modify and work with the HTM to improve existing programs.
  • Evaluate all the development approaches’ impact through reports to provide meaningful data.
  • Work with the HTM to identify and propose training tools, or training delivery mechanisms, embracing different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching.
  • Work with HTM on creating special projects and leadership programs for talent development.
  • As appropriate, identify and manage vendors and training providers.
  • Support the Talent Management Team with Finance and administration activities.
Onboarding & Induction
  • Supervise the organization of the welcome and integration program for new employees in collaboration with L&D team.
  • Work with hiring managers and HR team to ensure onboarding processes are effective and taking place for all new hires.
  • Work in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders involved in the organisation of the induction to ensure a positive newcomer experience, ensuring smooth coordination and logistics.
  • Support the implementation of the online induction module in collaboration with L&D team.
  • Support the Learning & Development team in the analysis of satisfaction data on the induction process at the IOC.
Learning Platform (LMS)
  • Ensure the day-to-day management of the Learning system LMS.
  • Ensure the data interfaces with other HR systems work correctly, working in close collaboration with HRIS team, to solve any issues that occur.
  • Experience of working to gather and process KPI’s and within a fast-paced environment.
  • Support the L&D and other teams within HR to use the system in the most effective way, whilst maintaining system integrity.
  • Ensure the end user is always at the forefront of our approach in terms of end user experience, identifying opportunities for process and quality improvements.


Our requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent in Human Resources, at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Experience working in a fast moving, change driven organisation and, ideally within an HR environment.
  • Familiarity with international and multicultural environments.
  • Perfect command of MS Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, One Note and Share Point) and recruitment tools (Success Factors/data management systems (Power Bi)).
  • English or French fluency, with excellent writing and speaking of the other language.
  • Excellent command of the corporate tools and ability to follow the internal user rules.
  • Excellent project management skills and use of collaboration tools, with a high level of independence and initiative while working effectively as part of team.
  • Good knowledge of e-learning platforms and practices. Previous experience with Learning Management Systems such as Ed Cast (Cornerstone) or Success Factors would be an asset.
  • Experience of managing learning and training programs in an international environment.
  • Strong communication skills (public speaking and presentation).
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-oriented, solution-focused and 'out of the box' thinking.
  • Ability to efficiently manage and prioritise various and simultaneous activities.
  • Ability to generate a working environment in which team spirit contributes to improving performance.
  • Ability to organise his/her own schedules and make use of internal and external resources to meet expectations.

  • Sense of initiative; ability to work in a dynamic environment while respecting deadlines.
