Your role
In the role of Openshift Admin, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Responsibilities

• Openshift Administration
• Manage and troubleshoot Open Shift Container Platform environment
• Manage users, policies and control access to resources
• Configure networking components
• Create and manage applications
• Configure pod scheduling and cluster scaling
• Customize various aspects of the process of building and deploying applications
• Implement health monitoring for containerized applications
• Work with platform owners to develop the platform strategy
• Participate and contribute towards building chapter for Openshift within the department
• Release management activities and deployment activities in prod and non-prod environments

Required

• Must have technologies skills – Openshift administration, monitoring, Troubleshooting Openshift environment, Java8, Performance troubleshooting, Linux, Git, Microservices, Devops pipeline setup using Jenkins, Ansible/Linux scripting
• At least 7 years overall IT experience, with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in administration of openshift environments
• Expertise in Installation/upgradation, configurations, and monitoring of Openshift environments and its internal components like HAProxy, EFK, SDN etc.
• Knowledge of Setup and operations of Openshift Cluster on AWS is a big plus
• Expertise in Linux operating system - commands and Unix shell scripts.
• Excellent debugging skill in Openshift applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong technical background and good communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and a good team player.

Preferred

• Java, Springboot, Microservices architecture
• GCP
• Administration of Kafka
• Agile methodologies
• Relevant experience in the Telecom domain and middleware technologies.
