SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - Zurich, Switzerland

Microshare.io is seeking a Senior Project Manager Contractor, based in the Zurich, Switzerland area. This candidate will provide consultative Business and Project Management to help clients implement solutions using a combination of the Microshare product suite and custom solutions in a fast-paced global environment. The successful candidate is responsible for acting as a primary customer contact, capturing requirements, managing the completion of technical work, managing the installation of hardware, and testing the solution. This is a manager level role that may/may not include direct reports per project.

The ideal candidate will be a savvy, seasoned consultant who excels at critical thinking and interfacing with business and technology contacts. Given Microshare’s position at the forefront of Io T technology, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to be flexible and adaptable while meeting project initiatives. The successful Senior Project Manager can direct diverse resources, vendors, and/or client contacts from around the world and can also delve into the Microshare solutions and/or processes to enhance the organization.

This position requires you to be based in the Zurich Airport area with the ability to travel to client sites up to 40% of the time. Sponsorship and relocation will not be provided at this time.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Project Management:

• Working as a delivery lead managing the project delivery throughout all phases including analysis, design, development, testing, hardware installation, and deployment.
• Developing and/or updating project artifacts for information technology projects, including project objectives, schedules, backlogs, and staffing.
• Creating and delivering executive messaging to disseminate information to senior stakeholders
• Directing a project and a team of specialists to implement technical solutions, including both software and hardware components.
• Balances external clients’ project needs, demonstrates creativity and flexibility when creating and driving estimates and project plans, and proactively manages and reports on execution of deliverables.

Business Analysis and Quality Assurance:

• Identifying and understanding the customer's requirements and problems and working with Microshare resources to recommend the best solution to meet the customer's needs.
• Interacting directly with client's end users, C-level executives, and other stakeholders to understand needs and to recommend a course of action.

• Participating in working sessions and product demos to demonstrate existing Microshare products, address client needs, and provide recommendations on solutions.
• Technical understanding of Io T technologies and enterprise software customer technologies would be ideal.
• Strategic thinker combined with a hands-on practical approach using experience and excellent communication skills.

Onsite Customer Primary Contact:

• Configure and install hardware at client sites when appropriate
• Provide onsite support of customer issues with hardware, which may include activities such as replacing broken/stolen hardware or confirming that hardware has been received in time for the larger installation activities
• Interface with remote team members to help resolve customer issues

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

• 7-12 years of experience in technical project execution, leadership and/or technology consulting on enterprise projects.
• Must be fluent in Swiss German and English.
• Experience dealing with distributed projects and teams of different sizes
• Desire to work with Io T projects and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to present and lead discussions with technology and business executives and stakeholders in Swiss German and in English
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to handle complex and ambiguous challenges and provide structure in the face of competing priorities

• Proven ability to direct others, both internal and external, while also taking the initiative to work independently as an individual contributor
• Ability to identify business challenges at the local and global level to drive change and innovation to improve the customer experience and distinguish Microshare offerings and products
• Serve as a delivery leader to translate business goals into concrete deliverables and timelines
• Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and cross-functional teams at a rapid pace
• In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles, particularly Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience at a consulting firm is preferred
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs/11.34kg on occasion.
• Ability to climb a ladder on occasion.
