Software Systems Architect – Data

Review and develop the organization's data strategy, principles, standards and processes
Implement data reference architectures as part of the enterprise architecture repository
Generate architecture views and catalogs of organization's data assets to support planning of business and IT strategies
Provide data models and architecture reports for management and executive teams
Align our organizations data architecture practices, processes, and tools to KPMG parent strategy
Continuously assess existing data system implementation procedures, quality and security measures, recommend enhancements, and monitor implementation
Drive data management, quality and security policies via automation (Dev Ops/Data Ops) pipelines
Provide different engineering teams with guidance and supervision on the evaluation and selection technologies and products to implement robust data solutions
Participate in the design of new IT solutions as data SME
Design and implement data intensive solutions for the organization
Guide and oversee data migration from legacy systems to new platforms
Drive data awareness and training activities across the organization

Bachelor or master's degree in computer science or similar
Minimum of 5+ years' experience in data architecture and solution architecture
Extensive experience in the application of data architecture concepts (modeling, cataloging, storage, transformation, cleaning, encryption, distribution, consumption, analysis etc.), related technology and data architecture patterns (especially distributed data architectures)
Proven experience in setting up data governance models (especially federated)
Experience in cloud technology ecosystem, preferably MS Azure data services
Experience in Data Mesh architecture style is a plus
Strong English skills and ability to explain and facilitate the implementation of data management practices, German is a plus
