For our customer from the finance industry in Bern, we are looking for a test specialist in business testing. In this position, you will be part of the agile organization that is developing, optimizing and helping to shape a business process in the non-life sector. A team of specialist colleagues, a senior quality master and two feature teams consisting of quality engineers, business analysts, developers, product owners and scrum masters are waiting for you. Together, they live a critical, solution-oriented and communicative working atmosphere.
Main tasks:

• With a view to the go-live of improvements to a business process, you will help to maintain the quality of the solution. You will ensure that, from a process perspective, applications can be used to benefit the general agencies and the specialist departments of our management. You will rely on your instinct to find existing errors and your constructive way of introducing potential for improvement.
• Your tasks include preparing and conducting business tests as well as creating test cases and test plans.
• You carry out manual tests and, if necessary, support the setup and implementation of automated tests.
• You analyze, record and test defects and help with the acquisition of test data and the provision of the test environment.
• You also enjoy passing on your knowledge to others.
• This also includes documenting the test cases, results and findings.
• You will carry out this work in collaboration with the specialist representatives, the quality managers in the project and product teams and, at the level of the overall project, the product owners.

Requirements:

• You are a team player, solution-oriented, independent, proactive and appreciate tackling challenges together with the team
• You work analytically and in a structured manner and are characterized as a motivated and communicative personality
• You have completed training in the fields of computer science, business informatics, systems engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable
• You have practical experience as a software tester, ideally at the level of business processes and in an agile environment. You are familiar with the SAFe framework and have worked with Scrum. You are familiar with Jira, with testing plugins for Jira such as Testray/Synapse RT and with Confluence.
• You have a great passion for testing and quality improvement and enjoy finding errors, preferably you have ISTQB certificates
• Good understanding of testing methods such as functional testing, integration testing, business testing and regression testing
• Ideally, you have experience in the non-life insurance industry
• You have a quick grasp of things. You are also curious about complex issues and enjoy conceptual tasks and working with interdisciplinary teams.
