03 Director of Quality Control

Position Summary:
This role can be based in Taipei or Hong Kong.
This is a challenging role for someone with regional exposure and experience working in a multinational company background. In this position, you would lead our Taiwan and China QC/QA process and QC inspection team. You will provide leadership to the whole QC team, ensuring that all day-to-day quality functions operate efficiently, any manufacturing issues are reported and investigated thoroughly, all root causes identified, and effective resolutions implemented and reported.
Ensure timely and cost-effective support is delivered to internal and external customers.
Maintain corporate and regulatory compliance as it relates to quality control.
The role requires someone who is motivated, root cause-driven, and a customer-focused problem-solver. You need to be comfortable in a fast-paced working environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities. You must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to succeed in this role. This role can be based in either our Taiwan or Hong Kong office.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Degree in Engineering related discipline

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Management in Injection Molding or related industry

Excellent knowledge of ISO 9000 & 14000:2000, social compliance (including SA8000 & ETI)

Responsible for developing and managing all functions of QC & QE procedures

Manage and maintain QC & QE processes and ensure proper documentation is followed, completed and filed

Meet key suppliers to review their performance and agree improvement plans

Excellent knowledge of quality systems and processes, inspection techniques and product approvals

Confident in working with colleagues and customers on quality issues and agreeing, implementing and following up on corrective/preventive actions
- Strong skills in communication (English and Mandarin), problem analysis and problem solving
- Independent and able to work under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer knowledge
- Good spoken & written English and Mandarin
- Willing to travel
- Troubleshooting
