• Leads technical interactions with customers to understand their needs, gathering their feedback and translating their requirements into product requirements.
• Determines if existing 3M solutions meet customer needs, or if a new product will be needed.
• Works with 3M’s global product development team to develop and commercialize products using customer feedback.

• Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in science or engineering.
• Minimum two years of gathering product information, data collection, and translating to product requirements in a private, public, government or military environment.

• Masters degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Two years of experience with electronics customers.
• Skills include product and technology development, customer application engineering, and global experience.
• Strong process and statistical thinking approach. Six Sigma experience is a benefit.
• Strong key account/customer experience directly engaging with VOC and insights related activity.
• Strong technical capabilities combined with a strong technical network.
• Strong ability to engage and influence divisional (marketing/technical) personnel.
• Open and collaborative style partnering with key stakeholders.
