The Specialist in EHS serves as an advisor to the leadership team and functional managers regarding EHS aspects. This position directly reports to the Taiwan Country General Manager. This role is to ensure effective communication of pertinent EHS requirements to various functions and facilitate their implementation.

Diploma/Degree in Engineering, preferably in an environmental, health sciences, industrial hygiene, or chemical regulatory field.

The Specialist in EHS serves as an advisor to the leadership team and functional managers regarding EHS aspects. This position directly reports to the Taiwan Country General Manager. This role is to ensure effective communication of pertinent EHS requirements to various functions and facilitate their implementation.
Responsibilities and Authorities
- Facilitate and follow-up on actions from various functions and departments in EHS improvement activities, rectifications works and accident/incident investigations, contractor Permit-To-Work systems
- Perform EHS inspections of the company operations to ensure compliance, and improvement of EHS improvements
- Monitor and measure company's EHS performance periodically through proactive and reactive methods like noise mapping, trade effluent, industrial hygiene, and air emission monitoring.
- Lead and implement EHS improvement activities arising from Corporate EHS and site leadership directions
- Maintain EHS documentations required under the EHS management system e.g. accident/incident records, chemical inventories, licenses and permits, MSDS, etc
- Ensure that systems and procedures within the department are in in compliance with ISO9001, ISO13485, QSR 21CFR, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 and WHO Good Distribution Practice.
- Foster collaboration with all collaborators to develop and maintain country EHS committee.
- Provide required EHS resources and knowledge to site employees with required safety training
Qualification
Diploma/Degree in Engineering, preferably in an environmental, health sciences, industrial hygiene, or chemical regulatory field.
Proficiencies preferred
- In-depth understanding of EHS knowledge and practices
- Good facilitation and leadership skills to involve all functions and levels in improving EHS performance
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good planning and organizational skills for effective and efficient execution of EHS activities
- Good grasp of business continuity planning and conduct of exercises
