Role Overview:
- Seasoned, experienced professional who possess a full understanding of an area of specialization as well as an understanding of business strategies to translate direction into tactical plans, both within and beyond own function.
- Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- Works on or leads projects as the incumbent continues to build expertise.
- Has accountability for the performance and results of multiple related units; works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors.
- Able to develop conclusions from analyses and apply results to the organization’s business operations.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Typically possess demonstrable business experience (or equivalent), as well as in-depth knowledge of a functional area.
- Implements organization strategies through the effective direction and management of resources.
- Sets Discipline or area strategy consistent with established organization strategies.
- Accountable for business, functional, operational processes and/or program management.
- Is recognized as a best practice expert in several business/sales/product/service areas.
- Contributes thought leadership and innovation that influences change and advancement of the business.
- Leads medium to large projects/initiatives that impact the business on a domestic or international scale.
- Focuses mainly on the management and implementation of operational objectives that help achieve long-term organization strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decisions are typically guided by functional practices, management precedents and professional standards.
- Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
- Uses knowledge to provide consultative advice and recommendations within specific functional areas.
- Operates independently and with initiative according to established standards and principles.
- May manage, supervise or provide support, guidance and training to others.
- Provides leadership, motivation, coaching, resources, and tools for a department of professionals.
- Develops departmental plans including business, production, operational and/or organizational priorities.
