Job Description

Operations management

  • Drive an effective client-service HR team that instills business unit-wide trust and value for the HR function;
  • Understand business strategies and how to develop high impact human capital solutions
  • Have a data driven mindset to assess organizational metrics and provide insights to the business;
  • Consistent measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs to ensure they are delivering desired outcomes;
  • Help foster a culture of innovation, in an environment that requires high levels of scalability, security and reliability;
  • Provide support to managers with employee attraction, development, and retention issues which may include: Annual performance campaigns, Leadership coaching, Career pathing, Advanced HR reporting and metrics, special project assistance;
Develop and maintain networks
  • Demonstrate effective and appropriate influencing skills with senior management/partners, combining high-level human capital knowledge with deep organizational understanding;
  • Build strong relationships with solid trust and mutual respect as the foundation;
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership focused on a transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop and retain the best talent in the industry;
Leadership
  • Evaluate the performance of individual HR team members, enabling, and encouraging performance improvement where possible;
  • Ensure that key members in the HR team are equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties;
  • Maintain a full perspective of the business at all times, placing emphasis on employee relations, policies, and people management procedures in application across the business;
  • Partner with other members of the Asia-Pacific HR leadership team in the deliberation and establishment of both short and long-term departmental strategies;
Strategy
  • Take initiative to develop and drive people management strategies that promote an environment where all employees feel valued and respected;
  • Ensure that all strategies implemented are aligned with the overall business priorities and goals;
  • Ensure that there is consistent application, implementation, and improvement of approved strategies at all levels within the HR team;
  • Leverage strong judgment skills to make decisions
  • Instinctively know when and how to introduce change, in such a way that it is broadly accepted and institutionalized;

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline;

  • A minimum of 10 years of human resource managerial experience gained in multinational organizations with proven track record of leading HR teams preferably in sizable manufacturing or construction companies;
  • Ability to communicate eff both orally and in writing in English. Mandarin is a plus;
  • Comprehensive knowledge in HR functions, such as compensation & benefits, talent acquisition, performance management, manpower planning, talent management, staff engagement, employee relations & employment ordinance etc;
  • Ability in counseling/advising in employment-related matters;
  • Self-motivated, presentable with strong business acumen;
  • Strong consultative, decision making, organizational, communication and leadership skills;
  • Mature, values driven approach;
  • A proactive and innovative approach to contemporary HR practices;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing skills and an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability in coaching others including leaders and employees continually developing their skills;
  • High level problem solving skills with the ability to identify issues, think creatively and recommend strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolution. Not afraid to challenge the status quo;
  • A pragmatic approach and prepared to take calculated risks in the pursuit of excellence;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from HR metrics to inform business decision making.
