Job Summary:
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking talented Sr. Firmware Engineer will be responsible for developing world class firmware to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy creating firmware for networking products, prototyping concepts, and investigating in new technologies. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust networking products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for designing, debugging, porting, defining, developing, testing and maintaining the Board Support Package (BSP) for Server Systems.
2. Clarify uncertain issue among hardware, driver and firmware.
3. Work closely with the software and hardware teams to develop and integrate the solutions.
4. Experience in Git/Github/Gitlab is necessary.
5. Experience in Open Embedded/Open BMC will be plus.
6. Experience in BSP poring for Yocto will be plus.
Qualifications:
1. Work Experience: 5+ years
2. Field of Study: Related to Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Information Engineering, with at least a bachelor's degree
3. Language Proficiency: English - listening/speaking/reading/writing: intermediate level
4. Skills: No specific tools required
5. Job Skills: No specific requirements
6. Other Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with experience in BIOS programming/development
Familiarity with PC/x86 architecture and proficiency in Shell, C, and C++ languages
Knowledge of JSON format and RESTful API
