Responsibilities:

Organizational

• Coordinating the planning and preparation for new student orientation;
• Participating in the development of academic and student schedules;
• Organizing and monitoring student’s arrival and dismissal;
• Organizing and leading student assemblies;
• Participating and leading in all faculty and staff meetings;
• Supporting admissions assessments.

Academics

• Organizing and reviewing results of assessment of numeracy and reading comprehension and problem-solving skills for new students, state-required assessments, Comprehensive or Curriculum Gains BASIS program;
• (In relevant Grades) Reviewing results of PSAT, SAT and ACT and state-required assessments;
• Reviewing Progress Reports and mid-semester reports in collaboration with Directors;
• Organizing and executing student academic support;
• Participating in the planning and execution of standardized assessments;
• Coordinating/Conducting student academic support interventions in collaboration with Interventionists
• and Directors;
• Supporting students with concerns and questions regarding their academic school experience.

Well-being

• Supporting the creation and maintaining a safe and positive school and community environment;
• Supporting teachers in building positive relationships with parents;
• Supporting parent with students’ overall well-being;
• Supporting students with concerns and questions regarding social aspects of their school experience.

Discipline

• Organizing and executing student behavior support;
• Maintaining student discipline and follows through with documentation;
• Communicating and meeting with parents regarding student performance and/or conduct;
• Supporting teachers with classroom management.

Communication

• Supporting teachers to resolve differences in communication with parents and students;
• Supporting teachers in parent and student communication.
• Other duties as assigned

Work Experience

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area
• Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
