Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Bangkok, we are seeking a Room Controller to support the Rooms division team.

Key Responsibilities

• Look after room assignment and room inventory according to the guests' preferences and special requests.
• Responsible for blocking all rooms prior to arrival, maintaining and ensuring accurate inventory availability
• Control the room availability on full house situation to maximize occupancy. Manage inventory and seek ways to maximizing the room revenue by overseeing the room allocation and driving upselling.
• Manages all late departure requests
• Build strong relationships and liaise with all other department's especially housekeeping, reservations etc. and likewise engages with guests and ensure that their needs are met.
• Coordinate amenity delivery arrangements with In-Room Dining
• Coordinate with Events and Sales for any group room allocations. Look through group blocks to ensure availability and contracted room assignments are available
• Place rooms in OOO status and communicate with Housekeeping and Engineering
• Able to handle guest inquiries timely and in a professional manner. Able to escalate guest issues to superior if needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hotel management courses with hotel operations
• Minimum one year in a similar or relevant field
• Good knowledge of computer skills i.e. Shiji, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Fluent in Thai & English, both written and spoken
