The person in this role is responsible for the execution and implementation of innovation projects to support regional product pipeline for Oral care, you will have the opportunity to showcase your capability for our iconic Oral care Brand LISTERINE for Asia Pacific.
Your primary responsibility is to deploy product innovation – combining Asian consumer insights with product development expertise to innovate products that consumers love. Delivering high quality, safe, sustainable & efficacious products with exceptional consumer experience.
You will need to be passionate about products and science, combining requirements on product performance & quality, together with strong consumer insight. This will mean you working with our scientists, packaging, analytical teams, quality & process development teams, so you need to be a strong communicator and ensure our innovations deliver On-Time-in-Full.

• Responsible for delivering innovation projects for Oral care LISTERINE mouthwash brand in Asia.
• Develop learning plans to ensure R&D deliverables for a project are mapped out and met.
• Prepare development plans to ensure formulas are meet expectations and are robust and ready for scale-up.
• Planning, executing and reporting laboratory trials – managing ingredients and formulation documentation to high standards in Kenvue systems.
• Understanding impact of ingredients & formula design on product performance (e.g. stability) and experience (e.g. sensory) and being able to adapt to meet required criteria.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis to address problems that may occur at any stage of the development process, from lab scale, through pilot plant and to production scale.
• Create rigorous data sets and strong advice that allows business leaders to take data-based decisions.
• Partner with R&D multi-functional team across globe to determine the testing needs to ensure learning plans are delivered with excellence. These may include formulation changes, claims, etc.
• Partner with relevant functions to ensure that product experiences delight target consumer via robust consumer understanding and testing.
• Working as part of a multi-functional team as well as being able to manage your own workplan and run experimental programs independently.
• Participate & update on progress of work program in cross-functional project teams (e.g.: R&D, Business and Supply Chain).
• Participate and represent R&D in Regional and Global project forums.
• To maintain a safe and healthy work environment that complies with the company’s policies. - Working safely in our laboratory, handling materials and operating equipment

Qualifications
What we are looking for

• A minimum of Bachelor's or Master's degree with >2 years of proven experience is required, Chemistry / Chemical Engineering degrees preferred
• Experience working in consumer goods sector, preferably in product development – Oral care, personal care, homecare or foods or pharmaceuticals is also considered.
• Experience operating or within a laboratory with a passion to further development yourself in formulation science.
• Being able to build strong interdependent partnerships internally in R&D and to broader cross-functional teams in Quality, Supply Chain and Factory Operations
• As the role requires working with teams across Asia and with global partners, you will need to have fluent written and oral English communication

• Additional experience across formulation, process development, claims, packaging & consumer science also welcomed.
• A good technical foundation of formulated products including emulsions, surfactants, suspensions, structured liquids, an understanding of material chemistry.
• Experience with building and delivering presentations to leadership to both inform and influence decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments and divisions within and outside Kenvue to achieve desired outcomes.
