A BOI promoted Thai-Japan-German JV in major manufacture of automotive part with Worldwide export. Our located in Amata City, Rayong Province (40 min from Pattaya, 90 mins from Bangkok), is a growing plant with about 1,000 employees. Currently products for the divisions Chassis Control, Powertrain Solutions, Diesel Systems and Electrical Drives are produced there. Also pass-through business is handled for several divisions.

Job Description
Plant support

• Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company federal tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.
• Manage and coordinate with local tax authorities to get tax refund.
• Interact with revenue department related to taxation issue.
• Responsible for preparing calculation of corporate income tax (PND.50, PND.51) and application for corporate income tax exemption (BOI).
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement and maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
• Provide guidance to other operating functions to ensure that business transactions are operated in a tax compliant manner and conduct training to increase awareness of any tax compliance requirements..
• Provide tax reconciliation report to support external audit and internal audit.
• Prepare monthly business performance reports to submit to the Ministry of Industry. (รง.8)
• Work with Tax advisor for preparation and archiving of the Transfer Pricing documentation.
• Submission of tax application to tax authority if overseas suppliers require tax certificate.
• To ensure the accuracy of the correct VAT code applied for the credit note, debit note, and tax invoice issuance in special circumstances via Work On system.

Country support

• Lead the tax compliance and governance and liase with Thailand affiliate companies.
• Provide guidance/advice to internal stakeholders on new business models (including involving C/TXB colleagues).
• Provide advice on tax regulation of Thailand.
• Keep updating on any new tax regulation or requirements and deliver to stakeholders where appropriate.
• Perform overall review of tax risk and lead the mitigation based on risk level.
• Contact point to approve or be aware of external advisor engagements.

Regional function and corporate function

• Look out for automation opportunities and coordinate with headquarters on projects to enhance tax function through technology / digitization.
• Liaise with the ASEAN tax team on various tax issues.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and Certificate in Financial Reporting.
• Special Skills: Good knowledge of SAP and Excel, Strong Analytical, knowledge of both Thai and International tax regulations
• Language Proficiency Level: Fluent in both Thai and English.
• Fast-learner, great analytical skill, goal-oriented, good leader and team player, keen to explore and learn new skills.
• Over 7 years of working experience in audit and tax practice in both private and public sectors.
• Strong foundation in both international and domestic taxes in various tax aspects i.e., M&A, tax advisory, tax controversies, tax compliance and deferred tax review, APA compliance and BOI regulations.
