Country Development Manager

Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Country Development Manager to coordinate local activities with key stakeholders in Turkey for a major client. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our purchasing, business development, engineering, and quality teams based in Genk, Belgium, and Valencia, Spain.
As a Country Development Manager you will be the primary contact, facilitating seamless communication between the customer and the company. Your responsibilities will include managing the project, which involves developing project plans, holding meetings, following up on tasks, and providing reports to steering committees. You will lead the development of a local fastener manufacturing base in Türkiye, working with the purchasing and quality teams to ensure compliance with Facil standards.
Additionally, you will identify suitable locations for local operations and collaborate with the operations team to create implementation plans. You will assist in establishing a separate legal entity for local operations and lead the acquisition and implementation of new programs with the OEM, while also seeking opportunities with new customers.
Furthermore, you will adapt processes from the Facil Management System to meet local requirements and support the ERP system deployment to align with customer and business needs.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree preferably in mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role in sales in the automotive industry
- Demonstrated expertise in project management or account management
- Strong negotiations and communication skills
- Technical interest is required, and mechanical or material knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: proven track record of building and maintaining relationships internally and with customers, while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality.
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Fluent in Turkish and good knowledge of English
- Knowledge of ERP software, preferably SAP, is a plus.
- Flexible to make frequent business trips within the country and occasional business trips to Europe (mainly Belgium, Germany, Spain and the UK)
