ROLE OVERVIEW
As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for accounting & tax operations and reporting directly to the Accounting/Finance Manager of Prinova Turkey. You will work closely with the entire team to ensure the best execution of these operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Follow up on daily bank transactions
- Posting accounting records of realized bank transactions
- Preparing and reviewing local suppliers payment list on a weekly basis
- Generating payment instructions and following for approvals
- Periodic bank reconciliations
- Processing import files, assist and coordinate with other department (import or operations)
- Review and approve employee expenses, Posting expense invoices, travel expenses, employee expenses
- Day to day accounting and bookkeeping activities
- Carrying out transactions subject to E-ledger, E-invoice and E-Archive legislation, Handling e-invoice and e-archive invoice cancellation and objection processes
- Generating accounting entries for service invoices; addressing reimbursements, price differences, exchange rate difference invoices, returns, and price variances
- Follow up invoice transactions and ensure that all customer/vendor invoices are booked to the correct account code
- Performing AR and AP and all general ledger account reconciliations - Follow up on any discrepancies or missing information with vendors/customers
- Control and reporting of accounts receivable and overdue debts
- Providing support to month-end closing activities
- Providing support to other issues related to accounting, internal/external audit and reporting
- Tracking and managing the archiving of accounting vouchers
CORE COMPETENCIES/PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree from Management, Economics, Public Administration or other “Accounting” related departments
- At least 3 years of accounting experience in general Finance and Accounting, preferably in multinational companies
- Good knowledge of Turkish GAAP, Turkish Tax and Accounting/Finance requirements
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Experience in ERP systems, LOGO TİGER knowledge is preferred
- Proficiency in English - both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
- Being a good team player and willing to be part of the teams.
