The Role
Responsibilities
The Candidate
- Develop your trading skills and capabilities in order to identify trading opportunities in the market place, maximizing contribution to the Global P&L.
- Maintain and develop new customers; support our assets globally; and increase market participation in Turkey.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update commercial controls with regard to the commercialization of grains, feedstuffs and pulses.
- Determine appropriate value of commodity by working in partnership with logistics team to determine costs of transportations to guarantee successful execution of contracts at best possible price.
- Optimize operations in conjunction with logistics and origination teams.
- Follow futures and options market to identify, in good time, trends and trading opportunities, to manage risk and increase competitiveness and market participation in the short, medium and long term with the objective of contributing to maximizing results.
- Communicate market developments and coordination to/with ADM teams both at local level and globally through analysis and preparation of market reports.
- Maintain good communication to existing customers and develop new.
- Maintain and develop commercial and operational controls with regards to the movement of products;
- Follow and coordinate with execution team all process of executing the contracts and vessels, including nominations, specs, documentation, payment and all issues that may arise;
- Aid in the preparation and maintenance of the Global Turkey position reports;
- Aid in the preparation of P&L Forecasts, traded statistics, both monthly and annually;
- Contribute in Supply and Demand discussions with particular focus on Turkey trade flows.
The Candidate
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or similar
- 1-3 years’ experience in agribusiness is desirable
- Fluent in English and Turkish
- Excellent commercial communication skills, able to communicate well with different cultures/nationalities
- High level of learning agility
- High degree of numeracy.
- High energy and motivation to learn
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize these to make correct and profitable trading decisions.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines.
- To work effectively as a team member and on own initiative.
- Driven and enthusiastic about forging a successful career in commodity trading
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft IT software – Outlook, Word, Excel and utilising skills into using bespoke systems.
