This role will ensure effective planning, assessment, and delivery of the GCSE curriculum, fostering an environment that promotes high achievement among students and supports professional growth among staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Coordination: Oversee the GCSE program, including curriculum development, implementation, and assessment to ensure academic excellence and alignment with ICS’s mission and educational goals.
  • Curriculum Management: Develop and monitor curriculum guidelines, resources, and assessment frameworks for GCSE subjects, ensuring a rigorous and balanced program.
  • Teacher Support: Collaborate with GCSE subject teachers, providing guidance and support in curriculum planning, lesson delivery, and assessment practices.
  • Student Guidance: Work closely with students to monitor academic progress, support individual needs, and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze student performance data to identify trends, inform instructional practices, and implement strategies for student improvement.
  • Parental Communication: Engage with parents, providing regular updates on student progress, curriculum changes, and examination results.
  • Examination Coordination: Organize GCSE examinations, ensuring compliance with examination board standards and ICS protocols.
  • Professional Development: Lead or participate in training sessions, workshops, and other professional development opportunities related to GCSE program improvement.

  • Problem Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to address challenges within the program and curriculum.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in organizing exams and ensuring compliance with examination board requirements.
  • Parental and Community Engagement: Ability to communicate effectively with parents, addressing their questions and keeping them informed about student progress.
  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with educational software and tools for data analysis, curriculum management, and online learning resources.
  • Professional Development Facilitation: Skills in coordinating or leading professional development for staff to enhance instructional practices.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum.
