MEP Technician - (To be hired by Serco JV)

Khadamat Facilities Management LLC is a joint venture (JV) company formed to operate and provide Integrated Facilities Management Services to the new United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain.

Through focusing on and making best use of the main components of Facilities Management (People, Place, Process and Technology), Khadamat delivers a range of high-quality services to the UAE University. Our aim is to continue in what we are doing well and continuously improve.

Your Opportunity
Khadamat are looking for an MEP Technician qualified and experienced in Air Conditioning, Mechanical Systems & BMS basics and is the principal technical resource in the maintenance teams. He must have a very welldeveloped understanding of maintenance principles and understand the importance of planned maintenance techniques. The MEP technician will also be responsible for managing resources appropriately to ensure that maintenance tasks are carried out at the planned frequencies and standards.

The ideal candidate should be flexible and seeks to be adaptable in the face of changing circumstances with good communication skills.

This role is part of the Khadamat team and will be based in Al Ain, UAE.

Key Accountabilities
Execute planned maintenance tasks in accordance with schedules
Attend and perform reactive and breakdown works as required
Organise support staff within team to reach planned objectives
Provide technical advice and support to maintenance teams and management
Diagnose defects and faults reported and provide appropriate cost effective technical solutions
Liaise with sub contractors to monitor performance and acquire knowledge of specialistsystems.
Provide reports and documentary records for Archibus system and Concept Evolution
Operate to the highest standards of Health and Safety
Support in day to day activities of Estates management.

Specific Requirements
Excellent technical knowledge in MEP disciplines specializing in central & comfort airconditioning
Broad experience in operating multiple building facilities
Fully understands interrelation of services in complex facilities
Ability to diagnose faults and reach appropriate solutions
Able to work at own initiatives
Excellent communicator able to give clear and concise instruction to support staff
Excellent command of English (written and oral)
