Admissions to our unit can come from multiple areas, such as general practitioners, out of hours, accident and emergency and clinics within the main hospital and community settings. We routinely see medical patients with a wide range of problems, including cardiology, respiratory, neurological, gastrointestinal and endocrine. Despite this diverse range of conditions, we strive to give a good standard of individualised care that meets the needs of the individual so they can return to wellness as soon as possible.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate evidence based clinical skills and be able to show evidence in continuing professional development.
We have a supportive experienced nursing team and look forward to welcoming you to our team.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES
To find out more about working with NHS Dumfries and Galloway and for an insight into our friendly, beautiful corner of Scotland please visit our Work With Us web pages https://www.nhsdg.co.uk/workwithus/NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
