Role overview
· 7.5t Multi-Drop Driver
· £33,000 annual salary (£35,000 if you hold a class 2)
· Must have held a current driving licence for at least 2 years. Digital tacho card and driver CPC is also required
· Working hours can be flexible but will fall inside the operating hours for business’s pallet-division - 7:00 – 19:00, Monday to Friday.
· Job positions available from 4th September 2024
What the job involves
Work as a team during the first part of your day alongside our warehouse operatives to identify the pallets on your designated route and assist with the loading of your vehicle. Once loaded, you will need to perform basic daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is clean and safe. You will then depart for the day where you will have the freedom to manage your own day to successfully complete multi-drop pallet deliveries and collections. You will have all the necessary support from our technology and management team to help you navigate each day. Once you return to the depot, you will debrief with your supervisors before going home for the day.
What we're looking for
This position suits a presentable, self-motivated individual that likes to take control of their own day and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. It’s important that you are committed and take pride in your role, as our delivery and collection drivers are often the main representatives our customers and the general public get to see.
HGV experience is essential, and the ideal candidate will have also experienced HGV multi-drop at some point during their career. You will need to be physically fit and willing to work hard to be capable of the role. Experience using pallet trucks, tail-lifts and curtain-sided vehicles would also be beneficial.
