Tutti Tutoring is a private tutoring company based in the London Area, United Kingdom. We offer individual online lessons, recorded lesson bundles, and study aids for students who require academic assistance in both core and additional subjects, including English, Academic and Creative Writing, Maths, and the Sciences. We also offer support for students in the process of producing university applications.
Our mission is to make education available and affordable for everyone. We believe in tailoring each lesson plan to meet the specific needs, preferences, and learning styles of our students.
Overview:
We seek a dedicated and experienced Academic Tutor specialising in Maths, Biology and Chemistry to join our team. As a Tutor, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students' lives by providing personalised academic support. This position requires excellent communication skills, creating bespoke resources, and a passion for education.
We are looking for a tutor who can teach all three subjects. However, we will accept applications from those with experience in Maths OR Biology/Chemistry.
Duties:
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in various subjects
- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to develop customised lesson plans
- Help students improve their study skills and develop effective learning strategies
- Assist with homework assignments and test preparation
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to address individual student needs
- Utilize creative teaching methods to engage students and enhance their understanding of the subject matter.
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Maths/Biology/Chemistry, Education or related field essential.
- Master's Degree in Maths/Biology/Chemistry, Education or related field preferred.
- 3-5+ years' experience in tutoring or teaching.
- Experience working with children of various ages and educational backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of the subject(s) being tutored, across exam boards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
