Accounting Operations Supervisor-EMEA

This is an exciting time to join the team as we step up operations in new countries and commence work on new and challenging projects. As a result of this growth, we are looking to recruit an Accounting Operations Supervisor.
The role of the Accounting Operations Supervisor EMEA reports to the Regional Finance Controller EMEA and directs and supervises Accounting Operations functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, expenses and oversees daily operations and determines and implements policies and procedures.


Primary Duties:


  • Provide strong leadership to the accounting operations team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth
  • Responsible for adhering to appropriate controls and segregation of duties
  • Project Set-up / AR / Invoicing / Collections
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of client invoices, cash applications, and project-related transactions.
  • Supports collections analysis to maximize DSO efficiency
  • AP / Expenses / Credit Cards
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments
  • Oversee credit card and expense processes
  • Supports vendor analysis and drives cost reductions when appropriate
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to transactional accounting activities
  • Utilize expertise in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to identify efficiencies & streamline accounting operations and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and optimize functionality
  • Assists management with important financial decisions, provides ad hoc and regular reporting on AR, AP, cash
  • Provides support for company annual audits
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Integration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of financial systems and processes during mergers, acquisitions, or system implementations
  • Develop and execute integration plans and identify integration risks, including data migration, process mapping, and testing

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience level of 3-5 years
  • Experience in a professional services or data center background a plus
  • Experience in working with outsourced shared service environment
  • Regional EMEA experience
  • Able to communicate well within the organization as remote employee
  • Possess positive attitude & team-player with a customer service mindset
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar accounting software package a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must possess strong project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
The role is a full-time position and based remotely in the United Kingdom, and will include business travel as needed to meet business demands but will likely be nominal.
