Job Summary:
The Aluminium Sand Caster will be responsible for creating sand molds, operating casting equipment, and producing aluminium castings per specifications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of sand-casting processes, experience with aluminium, and be dedicated to quality control and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Mold Preparation: Prepare and shape sand molds for aluminium casting using patterns and core boxes.

• Casting Operations: Pour molten aluminium into prepared sand molds following precise measurements and safety protocols.

• Quality Control: Inspect molds and castings to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications; identify and correct defects.

• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean casting equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure efficient and safe operations.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.

• Collaboration: Work with other team members to meet production deadlines and optimize processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sand casting, specifically with aluminium.

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of sand-casting methods, tools, and equipment; familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift [weight], stand for extended periods, and work in high-temperature environments.

• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail with the ability to identify imperfections and ensure high-quality castings.

• Safety-Minded: Strong commitment to safety practices and regulations.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with core making and finishing processes.

• Knowledge of metalworking and foundry operations.

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and casting machinery.
