Job Overview
We are looking for a back-end developer experienced with Laravel to join our very talented development team! You will play an integral role and have an immediate impact on the development of new and exciting products, and help maintain and refactor existing products used by tens of thousands of security professionals across government, military, law enforcement, and private sectors.
Responsibilities

• Design and implement database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Work collaboratively with multiple teams to plan & implement back end web applications and APIs with Laravel
• Contributing to a performant and secure back-end application
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality results

Requirements

• +2 years experience with Laravel and PHP (we will not consider applications without this)
• Experience with relational databases (My SQL preferred)
• Profound understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented design principles
• Knowledge and experience of APIs, RESTful services and Microservice Architectures
• Code versioning software such as GIT
• Understanding of Agile development methods
• Good written and verbal English
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

DESIRABLE Skills

• Experience with payment processors such as Stripe
• Experience with AWS
• Understanding of security best practices

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
